This contemporary house is laid out around the path of the sun availing of natural daylight and solar gain from sunrise in the east/ front to sunset in the west/ rear. Window openings are smaller to the front to maintain privacy but open up to the side and rear to maximize light and views. The building is divided into two components, the single storey, vaulted open plan living space represents the public domain while the two storey element denotes the private family space.
